I had been off work for about 7 months do to a personal health issue and during that time I learned Im expecting my first child. I went back to work this June and my baby is due in September. How much time off I’m able to take off for maternity leave and am I still able to do so since I’ve exhausted my leave of absence?

I’ve heard that it’s 12 weeks but then I was told that technically here in California it can be up to 17 weeks? I’ve work for this company for 17 years. They employed over 120 individuals. I’m also exemp. I just want to be sure how long I’m able to take for maternity and do I still qualify for LOA for bonding aside from maternity leave?
